Abstract
In the religious building, symbols are important elements for design. Because Man use symbolic items to represent the concept cannot be define or fully comprehended by usual contents. There is a difference between religious architecture and the others, a scared heart on the religious architecture is evoked through symbols. Symbols have unconscious function. And also the religious building is included with an unconscious function. Unconscious pursued in the religious building is related on the scared heart. So the analytical psychology is researched for the relation between unconscious and the religious building, and especially the archetype of unconscious in the analytical psychology is mainly concerned in this study. As a result of the study, possibility would be found of application of the archetype of unconscious in the analytical psychology to the religious building.
