h e o u t s i d e o r 12 rod r i n g of t h e c l u s t e r .Burnup samples were c u t from p e l l e t i z e d r o d s .The r e m a i n i n g r o d s within each cluster were, filled with UO -PuO powder and were compacted by a 2 2 swaging process.No burnup samples were obtained from these swaged rods.Two 19-rod fuel elements have been sampled.Their irradiation history is shown in Table I.
