'Please sir, I want some more': Young people should not have to beg for a liveable income and affordable housing

Abstract

Youth homelessness remains a serious problem in Australia and I posit that intergenerational poverty, social inequality, woefully inadequate income support payments and Australia's housing shortage and affordability crisis are contributing factors that are not given enough attention in the discourse around why young people experience homelessness and have difficulty getting and staying out of homelessness.
