Abstract
Nineteen genotypes were evaluated under four plant density environments viz., 833333, 333333, 166666 and 111111 plants/ha to estimate the stability parameters for seed yield/plant and other yield components. Genotypes (G), Environment (E) and both linear andnon-linear G x E interactions were observed to be significant for most of the characters studied. On the basis of stability parameters the genotype, PS-1029 was found tobe stable for 100-seed weight and seed yield/plant over different plant densities, whereas, genotype, PS 1042 exhibited stable performance over the optimum plant densities for seed yield, 100 seed weight and days to flowering. DS 1022 was identified as suitable genotype for seed yield in favourable environments.
