Abstract

[Objective]To learn the nutritional knowledge,the awareness of'Dietary Guidelines for Chinese residents(2007)'among consumers in Nanjing,and to provide basis for the evaluation of Dietary Guidelines' effect in Nanjing.[Methods]A self-designed questionnaire survey was conducted among 537 individuals in a large supermarket,concerning'Dietary Guidelines for Chinese residents(2007)' and relative knowledge,attitude and practice.[Results]The total rate of right answer to nutritional knowledge among customers in Nanjing was around 50%,36% of the respondents had heard of the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese residents,and 34.3% of the respondents had heard of the Balanced Diet Pagoda of Chinese residents.The higher education level the respondents were,the higher level of nutrition knowledge they had.[Conclusion]The customers in Nanjing had low level nutritional knowledge,the attitude to acquire nutritional knowledge was active.We should pay attention to the lower education group,when we carry on the knowledge of nutrition and the Dietary Guidelines interventions.
