Abstract

An experiment was carried out in a low cost polyhouse at experimental unit of K. L. E. School of Agricultural Research and Training, Belgaum during the year 2000-2001 with ten cultivars to study the contribution of different parameters to flower yield and quality parameters, i.e., to find out how characters are related to each other. This experiment revealed that, number of flowers per plant was positively and significantly correlated with number of branches (0.378). Plant height was positively and significantly correlated with stalk length (0.917), number of leaves (0.779), number of branches (0.572), leaf area (0.486), total chlorophyll content (0.466), stem girth (0.437) and leaf length (0.425). Vase life was positively and significantly correlated with plant height (0.614), stem girth (0.610), number of leaves (0.488) and number of branches (0.472).
