Abstract
Tuberose is one of the most important bulbous ornamental plants grown for long flower spike as excellent cut flowers and essential oil. To improve the plant growth, pre and post harvest quality of the spikes in tuberose through organic culture an experiment was laid out in randomized block design with common basal dose of FYM @ 2kg/m2/year, neem cake @ 200 g/m2 per year, Trichoderma viride @ 20 g/m2/year, bio-fertilizer dose (Azospirillum + PSB + VAM) each @ 2 g/plant at an interval of 2 months and nine foliar spray treatments of bio-stimulants like T1 - Panchagavya-2%, T2 - Panchagavya - 4%, T3 - Manchurian mushroom tea - 2%, T4 -Manchurian mushroom tea-4%, T5-(T1+T3), T6-(T1 + T4), T7-(T2 + T3), T8- (T2+ T4) and T9- (RDF-NPK @ 200: 150: 00 kg/ha) and replicated thrice. The data exhibited the significant effect of pre harvest treatments of bio stimulants on cut spike of tuberose cv. “Phule Rajani”. The plants sprayed with 4% Panchagavya + 4% Manchurian Mushroom Tea (T8) was found best and resulted in to maximum plant height (69.02 cm), duration of flowering (140.50 days), length of spike (52.83 cm), weight of spike (79.18 g), number of florets per spike (50.17), floret remain open at a time (13.99), keeping quality of cut spikes in plain water (12.95 days), number of spikes per plant (2.55) and yield of spikes per square meter (22. 95), followed by 4% Panchgavya + 2% Manchurian mushroom tea (T7) as compared to RDF-NPK @ 200: 150: 00 kg/ha (T9).
