Abstract
Pod damage due to the infestation of Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) was highest in chickpea sale crop as compared to all intercrops. The occurrence of natural enemy, Campoletes chlorideae (Uchida), was also higher in the sale crop. The highest seed yield was recorded in chickpea + wheat (3:6) followed by chickpea + safflower (4:2), chickpea + sunflower (4:2) and chickpea + sorghum.
