Abstract
In this study, on the condition of perfect disturbance, the test for basic physical properties were performed to understand the relationship between the change of Atterberg limits and the change of salinity. And the tests for mechanical properties (Unconfined compression test, Oedometer test, etc.) were performed to understand the thixotropy, the properties of consolidation, according to the change of salinity. The results of study, the more salinity add, plastic index is shown a tendency to decrease. Such tendency mean that the mechanical properties of the ground was improved the more salinity high. For example, thixotropy was shown large and fast the more salinity high at the marine clays of perfect disturbance. The result of oedometer test for remolded clay, compression index(Cc) was improved gradually the more salinity add and coefficient of consolidation(Cv) was took the change when Atterberg limits was turned.
