Abstract

Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments were presented with a 400 page report called 'A National Aboriginal Strategy' in March 1989, which tried to sort out the problems and suggested ways to strengthen health services delivery to Aboriginal and Islander people and recommended ways of planning, implementation and evaluation of future activities. The report also highlighted lack of coordination within the health systems and between health, housing, employment and education that needs attention.
