Abstract

Using the average monthly temperature, precipitation and relative humidity information of six weather stations in Hotan region during 1960 - 2008,a linear tendency,Mann-kendall,a total anomaly and Morlet wavelet analysis methods were used to analyze the three elements of 49a temperature, precipitation and relative humidity, the space-time of four seasonal change, mutation and cycle characteristics in Hotan region. Results showed that: (1) From west to east, showing a drop in temperature, precipitation and humidity;(2) temperature, precipitation and relative humidity had a linear increasing trend, temperatures and relative humidity increases in winter especially, and the more obvious increasing precipitation in summer; (3) temperature, precipitation and relative humidity had significant changes in inter-decadal and inter-annual cycle; inter-annual cycle had more complex and significant inter - decadal oscillation period than inter-decadal cycle;(4) mutations of temperature, precipitation and relative humidity occurred during 49a,the point mutation of year and seasonal elements and the mutation were differend; (5) between the three elements, temperature and precipitation, temperature and relative humidity had a anti-correlation,precipitation was positively related to relative humidity.
