Abstract
A field experiment was conducted to study the residues of endosulfan when sprayed at the rate of 0.5 and 1.0 kg a.i./ha in/on brinjal at fruit formation stage. The residues of endosulfan persisted beyond 15 days. Half-life was 4.59 and 4.08 days and safety interval 15.97 and 14.89 days, respectively for each of the two dosages The period of protection against Leucinodes orbonalis Guen. larvae at these dosages was 10.84 and 11.57 days, respectively.
