Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Farm of S.D.J. (P.G.) College, Chandeshwar, Azamgarh during Rabi season of 2010–11 and 2011–12 on a silty loam soil. Results revealed that sum treatments recorded higher value of growth, yield attributes and seed yield as compared to other treatments. Plant growth, yield attributes and seed yield imporved with the increase in frequency of irrigation being highest with irrigation at 75 mm. C.P.E. Crop showed favourable response to applied N 100 Kg. and and P 60 Kg. per hec. The economics scheduling of irrigation at 1.2 IW/CPE ratio along with 100 kg. N/ha and 60 Kg. P2 O5/ha. was the best for achieving higher yield under eastern U.P. conditions.
