Abstract

Field studies conducted for two years during kharif seasons of 1999 and 2000 at Raburi revealed that pre-plant incorporation of Pursuit Plus at 800 g ha−1 was observed most effective in minimizing weed growth and enhancing the grain yield of soybean (Glycine max L.). Soybean grain yield due to two hand weedings at 15 and 30 DAS was similar to that of Pursuit Plus at 800 and 960 g ha−1 and alachlor at 2000 g ha−1. Crop phytotoxicity symptoms were not observed on soybean due to application of Pursuit Plus. Toxicity of soybean herbicides carry over was not observed on yield of succeeding rabi season potato.
