Abstract

Relative toxicity of endosulfan, monocrotophos, quinalphos, fenilrolhion, DDVP, malalhion and phosalonc was studied in laboratory during 1987 against the third kistar larvae of Heliothis armigera Ubn. and neonate larvae of Exelastis atomosa Wlsm. On the basis of their LC50, monocrotophos and quinalphos were found to be highly toxic; DDVP, phosalone, fenilrolhion and endosulfan moderately toxic and malalhion as the least toxic compound against H. armigera. Against E. alomosa monocrotophos, quinalphos and fenitrothion were highly toxic, endosulfan and DDVP moderately toxic and phosalonc and malalhion the least loxic insecticides.
