Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present the most accurate estimating methods by comparing the tables which are estimated by the non-survey methods with survey-one. The estimating methods are adapted in this study such as simple location quotient method, cross industry location quotient method, adjusted cross industry location quotient method and logarithmic cross industry location quotient method. The region and time for the study is the metropolitan area in 1980. In case of evaluating the seventeen industrial input and import coefficient in the metropolitan input-output table, simple location quotient method was evaluated as the most excellent method. Adjusted cross industry location quotient method is the second and logarithmic cross industry location quotient method is the third. But these four nonsurvey methods over-estimated the metropolitan area input coefficient and underestimated the metropolitan area import coefficient.
