Abstract

Since China adopted the policy of fully opening retail market at the end of 2004, the entrance of multinational retail enterprises brought the reality and potential impact on the domestic retail such as structure, controlling power and competitiveness. From the perspective of industrial safety concept, combined with the mature DEA model, this paper focus on analyzing the security of the four kinds of retailing forms with large market share: big supermarket, hypermarket, department store and the convenience store. The result indicating an insecure state of China's retail industry. Finally, the paper puts forward reasonable proposals for improving domestic retail industry in industrial safety and also for the continued healthy and steady growth of China's retail industry.
