Abstract

A replicated field trial was conducted in the agricultural research farm during rabi 2000–01 10 compare the efficacy of f1ufenoxuron, A1phamethrin and Terminator along with carbosulfun and chlorpyriphos in controlling cabbage pests viz., diamond back moth and greater cabbage moth. The study revealed that application of a1phamethrin was most effective in controlling DBM population to the tune of 72.77 and 94.51% than control after 15 days of first and second spraying respectively However, application of terminator reduced the population) of larger cabbage moth to 74.29% and 88.71% during the same observation period. Highiest yield (100.68 q/ha) was obtained from plots treated with terminator followed by sole chlorphyriphos treatment (93.75 q/ha) and lowest yield of 44.02 q/ha was recorded from control plots.
