This article begins with a brief discussion of the objectives and scope of dynamic traffic management. This is followed by a description of new developments in public transport and traffic management, with the emphasis on ICT (information and communication technologies). This includes computer-assisted operation control systems, traffic control systems, driver information systems, and fleet management systems.
