Abstract
In a phylogenetic study of the genera Pythium and Phytophthora we found isolates with unique ITS sequences, different enough from those of any described species to justify new species status. This paper describes and illustrates the morphology of two new species of Pythium and one new species of Phytophthora. Their taxonomic position and relationships with other related species in the same genus are presented and discussed.
