Abstract
The moss flora of Kamchatka Peninsula includes 205 rare species (40% of total moss flora). An analysis of habitat distribution of rare species is provided, causes of rarity are discussed, and corresponding groups of rare species are distinguished. Problems of the rare species protection are discussed.
