Abstract

A new species of pontoniine shrimp, Periclimenes manihine, is described and illustrated. It is a member of the little known deep-water Periclimenes alcocki species group. Collected from Kenyan waters, from about 250 m, it is the shallowest depth from which species of this group have been recorded.
