DATA CONCERNING THE ORNITHOFAUNA FROM THE PITESTI RESERVOIR IN THE WINTER 2007-2008

In this paper, the authors make an analyze regarding the presence of the birds species observed in the winter 2007-2008 on the Reservoir Pitești - part of the Dam lakes from Arges River, site that is included in the Natura 2000 network. 52 bird species, belonging to 11 orders, 20 families and 32 genera, were observed. Among the aquatic species, the most numerous are the waterfowls. The bio geographical origin, their preference for the most important types of habitat, and the dynamics of the Anseriformes species, are analysed, too. On the whole, Anas platyrhynchos and Aythya ferina are overdominant, Anas crecca and Cygnus olor are dominant and the others are complementary species. Concerning the monthly dynamics, only the Anas platyrhynchos remains constantly over dominant species. Two species (Aythya nyroca, Phalacrocorax pygmaeus) are catalogued SPEC 1 and five species (Phalacrocorax pygmeus, Egretta alba, Cygnus cygnus, Aythya nyroca and Alcedo atthis) belong to Annex 1 from the Birds Directive.
