Abstract
Welcome to the 1st International Symposia on Cryptography, Network Security, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, E-Commerce and Its Applications, and Embedded Systems (CDEE 2010), sponsored by the International Association for Computers and Information Science (ACIS), in cooperation with Yanshan University in China. This symposium provides an international forum for researchers, scientists, engineers, industry practitioners, and students throughout the world to share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of computer and information science. The conference received many papers from different countries and regions. These papers were refereed by 70 Program Committee Members and secondary reviewers from more than 7 different countries. After careful review, 93 papers were selected to be presented at the conference and published in the conference proceedings. These papers cover a wide range of topics including theory, methods, and applications.
