Abstract

A pulsed laser source and an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) detector have been used to perform ultrasonic Lamb wave experiments in thin aluminium sheets. The Lamb waves generated in these experiments have been used for imaging artificial defects , using tomographic reconstruction techniques.
