Abstract
Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) supports multimedia applications. Then it is necessary to provide Quality of Service (QoS) guaranteed with different characteristics. Therefore, an effective Handover (HO) is critical for the WiMAX system. In this paper, concentration is on handover in WiMAX, in addition various type of handover and especially fast handover will be explained. Handover in WiMAX is significant due to effect on scanning time and latency. By simulation, we want to show that fast handover increase scanning time and decrease latency in WiMAX systems. KEYWORD: WiMAX, Handover, Fast handover.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
