Abstract

To provide high bit-rates to the customer a number of new access technologies is being developed: cable modems, optical fiber transmission systems, and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technologies. This report concentrates on a Discrete Multitone (DMT) multicarrier implementation of the DSL technologies. DSL uses the twisted pair of the plain old telephone system.
