Abstract
In this report, analysis of three optical data channels dense wavelength division multiplexing optical network by direct intensity modulation and external modulation has been stimulated using OPTSIM.By comparing the results of external intensity modulation and direct modulation with respect to Q value ,BER , it can be seen that the performance of external modulations better than direct modulation.
