Abstract
A new species of the genus Catoptrus A. Milne-Edwards of the family Portunidae (Crustacea, Decapoda, Brachyura) is described based on two specimens from the Marigondon Cave in the Philippines. The new species is characteristic in having the flattened oval carapace armed with four lobes and a spiniform epibranchial tooth at each anterolateral margin, the third maxilliped merus produced anterolaterally, and the fifth pereiopod having the natatory dactylus.
