Unilateral variant median nerve - a case report

Abstract

Median nerve is formed in the axilla by two roots, medial root coming from medial cord and lateral root from lateral cord of brachial plexus. This case reports a variant median nerve in which median nerve was formed by three roots, two from lateral cord and one from medial cord of brachial plexus. The first lateral root joined with the medial root to form the main trunk of the median nerve, medial to the axillary artery, which was joined by second lateral root at the level of insertion of coracobrachialis muscle. © Int J Anat Var (IJAV). 2013; 6: 210–212.
