Abstract
Phthalic acid esters(PAEs) were an important industrial material and used in many synthesis technology. But PAEs was postulated to produce endocrine-disrupting effects when people were constantly exposed to it,so it was drastically important to study the degradation technology of PAEs.This paper reviewed the progress in the PAEs degradation field in recent years, the merit and demerit of biodegradation, physisorption and advanced oxidation technology were detailedly discussed and compared and it was indicated that photocatalytic oxidation was the most promising technology of PAEs degradation.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.

Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
