Abstract

textile and clothing industry quota WTO MFA Opportunities threats The textile and clothing industry in Karnataka is concentrated in Bangalore, which houses some of the largest Indian export houses. The abolition of the quota regime under the WTO in 2005 has opened up the global textiles and clothing arena for exporters in Karnataka, with its adequate raw material base complemented with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities and skilled manpower supply.
