Myrciariamyia admirabilis Maia, a new species of Cecidomyiidae (Diptera) that induces leaf galls on Erythroxylum suberosum A.St.-Hil. (Erythroxylaceae) is described and illustrated (larva, pupa, male, female and gall) based on material from Minas Gerais, Brazil.
