CONCEPT OF URBAN STREET PLANT AREAS FORMATION

In the process of forming aesthetical, hygienic and safe environment of the street, an important role is played by street plant areas. The article presents the concept of the street plant areas, their main elements and functions. The article also analyses the existing state of the street plant areas: assessment of the planning of plant areas of the street; purpose of selection of the range of street plants; correctness of planting and care of the plants. Summary of the analysis results enabled the authors to define the principles of formation of plant areas on urban streets and individual elements of streets.
