Recent considerations in Reactive arthritis immunological pathogenesis.

At the apparently paradox in immunological function between infection and autoimmunity lies pathogenesis of some autoimmune diseases including Reactive arthritis. In this review, we update some host and microorganism aspects implicated in pathogenesis of this disease. We emphasize paradox among infectious diseases and autoimmunity in order of immunocompetence, only as apparently, because microorganism implications in some autoimmune diseases pathogenesis has been demonstrated without any doubt (like in Rheumatic fever and group A, β hemolytic streptococcus) . How microorganisms are involved in autoimmunity is nowadays a hot point of interest of clinical rheumatologist and basic immunologist, and we focus in the main mechanism which are involve in autoimmune diseases pathogenesis.
