Abstract

The VOC emission rates of the most common deciduous trees in the boreal forests were measured during the summers 1996 and 1997. The species studied were silver birch (Betula pendula), downy birch (Betula pubescens), European aspen (Populus tremula), grey alder (Alnus incana) and tea-leafed willow (Salix phylicifolia).
