The Private Dollar--Fund Raising for Colleges and Universities.

This paper outlines some reasons why fund raising has assumed greater importance for colleges and universities in recent years. Some theories of fund raising are presented plus a description of Australian fund raising in practice. The practice is then contrasted with the theory and a model for fund raising is developed. From an analysis of the theory and practice a number of conclusions are drawn which should assist educational administrators.
