Abstract

The long-term removal of unwanted hair is achieved by a variety of lasers and an intense pulsed light source. How well do these modalities work in producing long-term hair removal? Twenty-four patients who had one treatment with the intense pulsed light source then had their test sites examined after 2 years. Long-term epilation of over 60% was found in this group of patients, showing that the intense pulsed light source is an effective method for long-term epilation.
