Abstract

Mounting interest in the field of learning disabilities is demonstrated by the exponential increase in the number of books published on this topic. In keeping with our policy of continually improving services to Journal readers, the editor, publisher, and Advisory Board are announcing expansion of the Journal's regular departments to include a monthly critical book review. Dr. Margaret Scheffelin will author the column, writing under the by-line of MS. Each month she will highlight a contemporary book which appears destined to be a tomorrow's classic. In this issue, Dr. Scheffelin introduces the column and discusses her approach to books and book reviews.
