Abstract
A study of the perturbation of artificial satellite orbits by atmospheric drag forces is important in predicting satellite orbits and lifetimes, and can provide a means of obtaining atmospheric data from satellite observations. The purpose of this paper is to present straightforward and accurate methods of computing drag perturbations, with corrections for influencing factors such as the rotation of the earth. (Author)
