Abstract
In this paper, inductance of a long single-phase line with parallel straight rigid rectangular busbars is investigated. Using a definition of the self and mutual inductances for two conductors of any shape and finite lengths new exact closed formulae for these inductances of long rectangular busbars are proposed. In case of direct current (DC) or low frequency (LF) these inductances are given by analytical formula.
