Abstract
Along with economic globalization and shortening of technology updating period, enterprises are confronted with more turbulent external environments. Their original core capabilities could form core rigidities due to path dependence, and it's difficult to maintain the competence advantages based on former core capabilities. This article proposed the construct of dynamic capabilities from organization evolution view. The dynamic capabilities mean the ability to overcome core rigidities, sense the environment rapidly, absorb new knowledge, integrate internal and external resources, innovate in operation model while facing rapidly-changing environments, to achieve dynamic organization evolution process according to the turbulent environment and formulate sustainable competent advantages. Furthermore, drawing upon the dynamic capabilities literature, we identify that dynamic capabilities include four dimensions of sensing capability and configuring capability. Afterward, we propose an empirical study by using data statistic and structural equation modeling tools. According to the outcome of empirical study, it's significantly and positively correlated between dynamic capabilities and the two dimensions, and the hypotheses of the article are verified. This research would contribute practical and theory significance for enterprises to configure dynamic capabilities, surpass the core rigidities due to path dependence, and build sustainable competence.
