Abstract

Two years ago, the author presented information on "The EMC directive: Routes to compliance". Last year, he talked about "The EMC directive: the new world of product family standards". This paper brings attention to emerging EMC regulations throughout the world. Particular attention is given to the differing administrative compliance processes for USA FCC EMC regulations, Australian C-Tick EMC Framework requirements, Russian COST requirements, Taiwan MOEA requirements, Korean MOC requirements and the European Union EMC Directive requirements. A proposal for the promotion of product regulatory compliance harmonized test standards and conformity processes is also discussed.
