Berazaín Iturralde, R.: A new species of Purdiaea (Clethraceae) from Cuba. — Willdenowia 34: 291– 294. — ISSN 0511-9618; © 2004 BGBM Berlin-Dahlem.Purdiaea bissei from Sierra de Moa in eastern Cuba is described as a species new to science, raising the number of species of this genus present in Cuba to twelve, all of which are endemic.
