Research of relational model transformation based on ATL

Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is a model-centric software development method, models and model transformation are core technology of the MDA. The key of achieving MDA is to create Platform Independent Model (PIM) and Platform Specific Model (PSM), define the transformation rules from PIM to PSM. The paper based on the MDA ideas, designs how to get a database model automatically by model transformation, and then analyses the Atlas transformation method and its characters. Finally, we introduce an example of how model transformation system generates the target model automatically, and to some extent, to verify the feasibility of the MDA in the software development.
