The Canadian Space Program — Past, Present, and Future (A history of the development of space policy in Canada)

This paper describes the development and evolution of the government's space policies that have guided the very successful Canadian Space Program for more than 40 years. The paper traces those national and international events that have had significant impact on Canadian space policies and shows how these policies have led to most of our major space activities. The underlying thesis of this paper is that these policies have been fundamental to the technological and operational success of our national space program for more than four decades.
