Abstract

Folic and folinic acid did not inhibit the antimalarial effect of pyrimethamine in nine cases of P. falciparum malaria in man. It is suggested that folic acid be given with pyrimethamine in the treatment of toxoplasmosis to reduce the risk of macrocytic anaemia.
