Abstract
The following reflections examine the new translation of Heidegger’s Beiträge zur Philosophie (Vom Ereignis) in relation to the former one. These reflections assess the relative merits of both translations and attempt to show how this relation illustrates specific issues in Heidegger’s text concerning the first and other beginnings of Western thought.
