Abstract
Recently, for Korea District Heating Corporation an individual household equipment system (heating and hot water supply) is investigated and developed to reduce district heating water return temperature and heat supply system of the existing district heating piping system. By considering the heat source supply system of the present district heating piping system (4-pipe system), we establish the design criteria of combined piping system (2-pipe system) mainly to simplify the piping lines of the 4-pipe district heating system. In addition, to increase efficiency of heat energy transfer by reducing the return temperature of district heating water, we suggest and develop the pre-heating system that uses returning floor heating water as a heat source. In order to verify the performance of the combined piping system, a series of tests were conducted based on Korean household pattern survey for heating and hot water use. As results, it is confirmed that the combined piping system be acceptable to the standard of heat equipment by Korea District Heating Corporation.
