Abstract
In this paper we present a design approach of a nanosecond pulse generator by using CST MICROWAVE STUDIO R\n. Through detailed simulation we arrive at a design for a fast rise-time variable pulse duration pulse generator which is able to produce 1–10 nanosecond pulses with tens of kilovolt\namplitude. Unique features consist of the modeling approach of the spark-gap and the way we achieve a variable pulse duration.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
